THE DRIFT AND THE SHIFT

We have a tendency to drift away from God. It starts when we stop doing what has helped us grow. Gradually, just like Israel, we drift into troubled waters where God is no longer our priority. Eventually, we shift. We don’t just neglect godly things; we turn our backs on God and start to work against Him. We do not intend to be this way, but it all starts with a lazy drift away. If today we are in drift mode, may we look to the Father and return to our first love, and to the truth and goodness of His Word. It all starts with prayer and an acknowledgment of where we truly are!
