The Door That Leads to Life

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” - John 10:9 NKJV

Here Jesus is describing a new way of relating to God that people could experience. Drawing on the relationship between sheep and the caring Shepherd who tends them, Jesus emphasizes trust. We can recognize the loving power of Jesus and rest in the security of His protection. Jesus also said, “My sheep listen to My voice. I know them and they follow Me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one will snatch them out of My hand.” - John 10:27 to 28.

That voice we learn to love and trust is heard through the word of God and through prayer. Let us encourage one another to shut out the noise of the world and tune in to the inspired voice of the Father. It is in this word that you find safety, security, trust, and a new road that leads to open doors and everlasting life.
