Lord, What’s Next?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

There are seasons in life when we sincerely ask, “Lord, what’s next?” We may be standing at a crossroads, facing uncertainty, or waiting for God to reveal His plan. Our natural tendency is to want all the answers before taking the next step. But God often calls us to trust Him one step at a time.

The Lord is not obligated to show us the entire journey. He simply asks us to follow Him faithfully today. When we acknowledge Him in our decisions, surrender our plans, and seek His will, He promises to direct our paths. His guidance may not always come as quickly or clearly as we desire, but His timing is perfect and His direction is sure.

Instead of worrying about tomorrow, focus on being obedient today. The same God who led Israel through the wilderness and guided the disciples will faithfully lead you as well.

Father, when I don’t know what comes next, help me trust You completely. Keep me from leaning on my own understanding and teach me to follow Your direction one step at a time. I believe that You are leading me according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
