The Heart of a Father
“As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.” — Psalm 103:13 (NKJV)
Father’s Day is a time to honor the men who have loved, led, protected, and sacrificed for their families. While no earthly father is perfect, godly fathers reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father. They teach truth, extend grace, provide guidance, and point their children toward Christ.
The greatest example of fatherhood is found in God Himself. He is patient with us when we fail, faithful when we wander, and loving even when we are undeserving. His love is not based on our performance but on His unchanging character.
For fathers, the calling is not simply to provide materially, but to lead spiritually. Children need to see a father who prays, loves God’s Word, and walks humbly with the Lord. A father’s greatest legacy is not wealth or success, but a life that honors Jesus.
Today, thank God for the fathers who have influenced your life. And if Father’s Day is difficult for you, remember that in Christ you have a perfect Heavenly Father who will never leave you nor forsake you.
Father, thank You for Your perfect love and care. Bless and strengthen fathers today. Help them lead their families with wisdom, humility, and faith. May their lives point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you!
Happy Father's Day! ❤️👊
