Deal or No Deal
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” — Mark 8:36 (NKJV)
Every day, we are offered deals by the world. Success without integrity. Comfort without commitment. Popularity without conviction. Sin often promises immediate pleasure while hiding the lasting cost.
Jesus asks us to consider the value of the deal. What good is gaining temporary treasures if we lose eternal rewards and fellowship with God? The enemy’s bargains always leave us empty, but God’s offer of grace through Christ gives us abundant and eternal life.
The Christian life requires saying “no deal” to the temptations of the world and “yes, Lord” to God’s will. Sometimes obedience costs us in the short term, but it always brings blessings that far outweigh the sacrifice.
Today, examine the offers before you. If a choice pulls you away from Christ, it’s a bad deal. If it draws you closer to Him, it’s the best decision you’ll ever make.
Heavenly Father, help me to recognize the empty promises of the world and to choose Your ways over my own desires. Give me the wisdom to say no to anything that would cost me my walk with You and the courage to follow Christ faithfully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Team Wade loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it! ❤️👊
