The Urgency of Sharing the Gospel

“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’” — Mark 16:15 (NKJV)

As believers, sharing the gospel is not a suggestion—it is a command from Jesus. Every day, people around us are searching for hope, purpose, and peace, often without knowing that the answer is found in Christ alone. Time is precious, and none of us knows what tomorrow holds.

The enemy would have us believe that someone else will share the good news or that we are not qualified. But God has called ordinary people to proclaim an extraordinary message. We are not responsible for changing hearts; that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Our responsibility is simply to be faithful and share.

The urgency of the gospel comes from the reality that eternity is at stake. Jesus did not save us merely to keep the good news to ourselves but to carry it to a world in need. A kind word, a personal testimony, an invitation to church, or sharing a Bible verse can be the seed God uses to transform a life forever.

Today, ask God to open your eyes to the opportunities around you and to give you courage to speak of His love.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Forgive me for the times I have stayed silent when You called me to speak. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me boldness to share the gospel with love and compassion. Help me to see the people around me as You see them and to faithfully point them to Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
