“But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.’” — 2 Timothy 2:19 NLT

Paul's Letter to Timothy

Jeremiah, the prophet, was never wrong. His messages were as reliable as the sun rising every morning. Yet, rather than listen to Jeremiah, the people made assumptions that dismissed his words, even though he never made a single mistake in speaking for the Lord. If we wonder how they could so easily turn away from what God was telling them through Jeremiah, well, we do it too. We read God’s Word over and over but never fully surrender to it. We repeat the mistakes of the past. But we don’t have to. Today, we could humbly submit to God and His Word.
