A Passion for Prayer
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” — Mark 1:35
Jesus had a deep passion for prayer. Even though He was busy teaching, healing, and helping people, He still made time to be alone with God. Prayer wasn’t just something Jesus did; it was something He loved.
Before big decisions, after long days, and during difficult moments, Jesus prayed. His passion for prayer came from His relationship with the Father. Prayer was where He found strength, direction, and peace.
If Jesus, who is the Son of God, needed time with the Father, it shows how much we need prayer too. When we develop a passion to pray, we begin to depend on God instead of trying to handle everything on our own.
Application:
• Start your day with prayer.
• Find a quiet moment to talk to God.
• Be honest with Him about everything.
Prayer isn’t about fancy words; it’s about a real conversation with God.
“Father, help me grow a passion for prayer like Jesus had. Teach me to come to You first in every situation. In Jesus' name.”
