Avoiding the Noise
“We live in a world filled with noise: opinions, social media, pressure, comparison, and constant distraction. If we are not careful, the noise can drown out the voice of God.”
he psalmist writes: “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalms 46:10 (NKJV)
Stillness is intentional. It means stepping away from the constant input and choosing quiet moments with the Lord. God often speaks not in chaos, but in calm. When the prophet Elijah was overwhelmed, the Lord did not speak through wind, earthquake, or fire, but through a gentle whisper.
To avoid the noise:
- Limit distractions that pull your focus from God.
- Create daily quiet time in prayer and Scripture.
- Listen more than you speak.
- Guard your heart from negative influences.
The world shouts. God whispers. If we slow down and draw near, we will hear Him clearly.
Prayer:
Father, help me quiet my heart and avoid the noise that distracts me from You. Teach me to be still and recognize Your voice above all others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it ❤️👊
