“saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I still can’t get my mind off those days before the cross the grave and the resurrection. It was in the garden, in that moment where Christ was surrendering his will and himself that he opened up the treasures of heaven to all who would receive.

Surrender is not the easy way out, it’s not the calling it quits before the game is over! It only comes after wrestling all night and opening our hearts and calling out to God deeply. Giving over our deepest desires to God, giving over our deepest self to God. In doing so we find that the freedom and beauty and rest that follows are among the greatest of the treasures.

Surrender your day to Christ and allow him to live his life and His will through you.
