The Care of the Father

“God takes more care of us than we take of ourselves. You never heard of a man who numbered the hairs of his head.” - Charles Spurgeon

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny and not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore you are of more value than many sparrows.” - Matthew 10:29 to 31 ESV

So with this being the case and God knowing us better than we know ourselves and caring for us more than we care for ourselves then the facts should bring cause for rest. But why is it we still struggle at times? Why?

1. We are human

2. We often refuse to surrender control

3. Satan’s influence is so persuading

May I remind us going into the holiday season that it is all about being thankful for the greatest gift ever given, Jesus, who came to forgive sin, heal disease and reclaim authority to whom it was first given in the garden.

So let us take a nap, get some rest and begin living again with the boldness of a child whose Father is the Lion of Judah.

He cares.

He has you covered.

Surrender.
