“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” - ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Would We Make the Roster?

The list in Hebrews of those who possessed great faith is quite impressive. Abel, Enoch, and Abraham made the roster because they didn’t just talk about what they believed; they acted on faith and accomplished much for the Lord. It gives us pause to ask if we would be on the roster of heroes of the faith. Anyone who doesn’t believe they would be on the list can turn their faith journey around immediately. Faith is a great act of trust, and God wants to give us His strength and wisdom to live faithfully and fully.
