Truth or Consequences
“If you do not tell the truth about yourself, you cannot tell it about other people.” — Charles Spurgeon
There’s a small town with one of the most unforgettable names you’ll ever hear. It was renamed in 1950 after a radio show—but the name itself carries a powerful spiritual lesson.
That’s not just a town name. That’s a life principle. In John 8:32, Jesus says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Truth brings freedom. But ignoring truth? That brings consequences.
We see it everywhere:
When we lie to avoid trouble, it usually creates bigger problems.
When we ignore God’s direction, we often end up in places we never meant to be.
When we compromise our values, the consequences follow.
But here’s the good news: God doesn’t reveal truth to shame us—He reveals it to save us. Truth is like a road sign in the desert. It might warn you, redirect you, or correct you—but it’s always trying to protect you.
Questions to Consider:
Is there a truth you’ve been avoiding?
Are you listening to God’s voice, even when it’s uncomfortable?
What small step of obedience can you take today?
Prayer:
“God, help me love truth more than comfort. Give me courage to face what’s real and wisdom to choose what’s right. Lead me in Your truth and protect me from unnecessary consequences. Amen.”
Remember: The goal isn’t perfection—it’s alignment. Choose truth today, and let God handle the rest.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you ❤️👊
