Acting Instead of Reacting
In tense moments, it’s easy to react quickly: speaking out of anger, frustration, or hurt. But God calls us to respond with wisdom, not impulse.
The Bible says: “He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, but he who is impulsive exalts folly.” — Proverbs 14:29
Reacting is emotional. Acting is intentional. When we react, we let feelings lead. When we act, we let the Spirit lead.
James reminds us: “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” — James 1:19 (NKJV)
Acting means pausing before responding. It means praying before posting. It means choosing grace over pride. A moment of patience can prevent a lifetime of regret.
Prayer:
Lord, help me pause before I respond. Teach me to act with wisdom instead of reacting in emotion. Let my words and actions reflect You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it ❤️👊
