Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
“But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted." - Matthew 14:30 NLT
When Peter stepped out on the water, he started out great because he started by faith. But he got in trouble when he took his eyes off Jesus and started looking at his circumstances.
Here’s what we learn from Peter:
We can’t just close our eyes and ignore the challenges around us, but they are not to be our focus. When Peter lost focus and got in trouble, he went to the right place. Peter immediately cried out for Jesus to save him from the circumstance. Even when we feel like we’re going under, Jesus loves us enough to not let us sink. Regardless of our circumstances. Regardless of our pain. God loves us way too much, and He is the God of promise when He tells us He will never let us go.
Remember, we must keep our focus on Jesus, not the noise of this world or the pain that comes with it.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it ❤️👊
