Deal or No Deal
Life often feels like a game of “deal or no deal.” We’re constantly weighing options—comfort or calling, fear or faith, compromise or conviction. God invites us to choose Him, not as a gamble, but as a decision of trust.
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
Joshua put it plainly: you can’t keep every briefcase closed forever. At some point, you must choose. Following God means letting go of the “what if” deals the world offers and trusting that what He holds is better than what you can see.
Sometimes the enemy offers flashy deals—quick success, easy approval, temporary comfort. But God’s way may look quieter, requiring patience and faith. The question isn’t which deal looks bigger; it’s which one lasts.
When you choose obedience, you’re saying “no deal” to fear and “yes” to faith. You’re trusting that God’s plan, even unseen, holds greater reward.
Lord, help me choose You today. When I’m tempted by quick deals and easy compromises, give me courage to trust Your promises. I say yes to Your will and no to anything that pulls me away. In Jesus' name, Amen.
