He Alone Deserves the Glory
“Stand up and praise the Lord. Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.” - Nehemiah 9:5 NIV
We all know what happens when we get serious about prayer and getting our lives clean before God. We start realizing who He really is, what He has done, and what He can do. The main purpose of prayer is to get our focus on God, not to get His attention so He can focus on us. The Levites led the people in acknowledging that God is bigger, greater, and more glorious than they could have ever imagined. Why is this so important? Because we often forget who we’re dealing with. If we’re not careful, we can become like Pharaoh who was prideful and suffered the results of that pride. That’s why the Bible says that of all the sins God hates, pride is at the top of the list.
We can’t pray very long and very serious while holding that attitude. When we start praying and humbling ourselves before God, He starts revealing Himself to us, reminding us of what He has done. He alone deserves all the glory.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you, and there’s nothing you can do about it 👊
