Vital signs

We get frustrated with ourselves – old habits, old aches, and pains constantly annoying us from every sphere of our earthly lives. However, inwardly, we are completely and perfectly made into a new creation – what we are is not yet fully known, but we are made spiritually new in ways that will only be fully known in heaven one day. Jesus wants us to live in the newness of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, not the old things that used to define our life.

“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Pray with me-

Thank You, God, for this beautiful truth, that You have indeed made me new! Thank You for taking what was impossibly dead and breathing life into it again. I now repent for not embracing the new me. I choose to believe today instead that I am brand new – that You have made me new and are sanctifying me. Help me know that I am new in You; the old is completely gone. Thank You, Jesus, for the renewing power of Your blood! Amen.
