Between the Shouts
On Palm Sunday the crowds shouted “Hosanna!” as Jesus entered Jerusalem. Just days later, the cry became “Crucify Him.” The same city, the same people; yet such a different response.
This shift reveals how quickly hearts can change when expectations aren’t met. Many hoped Jesus would be a political savior, but He came as a suffering Savior. When He didn’t fit their plans, their praise turned to rejection.
We’re not so different. It’s easy to worship when God seems to be working the way we want. But when life gets confusing or painful, trust can fade.
The days between “Hosanna” and “Crucify Him” invite us to examine our own hearts. Will we follow Jesus only when it’s easy; or also when it’s costly?
• Is my faith based on who Jesus is, or what I expect Him to do?
• How do I respond when God doesn’t meet my expectations?
Jesus, keep my heart steady. Let my worship remain true, not just in joy but in uncertainty. Teach me to follow You faithfully, no matter the cost. Amen.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for ya ❤️👊
