Walking by Faith
“We walk by faith, not by sight or feelings.” — Charles Spurgeon
“For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” II Corinthians 5:7-8 NKJV
Walking by faith means to fear God more than man, to obey the Bible even when it conflicts with man’s commands, to choose righteousness over sin no matter what the cost, to trust God in every circumstance, and to believe God rewards those who seek Him regardless of who says otherwise. Remember, our faith is built on fact, not emotion. Yes, feelings and emotions are a real part of our life, but our salvation is based on what Jesus did on the cross and our receiving of that gift, not on how we feel or some emotional stir.
We must receive the gift of God’s Son and surrender to whatever the Father tells us to do regardless of how we feel!
