Judging the Sin of Others
“Do not, like some people, be afraid of speaking plainly and broadly concerning the consequences of sin.” - Charles Spurgeon
“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:8 to 9 NIV
The Word of God is crystal clear about the consequences of sin. It is also crystal clear that we have all sinned as well as daily face the temptation to walk in sin. Should we hate sin and teach against it? Absolutely. Yet we should also be reminded that it is our calling as God followers to love people and pray for people regardless of their sin nature. Remember, Jesus gave His life for our sin nature.
It is far too often that we tend to judge because in our minds we become convinced that our sin is a lesser sin than others. This my friend is a lie from the enemy. All sin is hatred against Holy God.
Our job is to Love God Love People. Nowhere and at no time has God called us to be the judge of another person’s sin.
Father, Today reveal the plank in our eyes and may we surrender it to You.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there is nothing you can do about it ❤️👊
