Vital signs- Friday, February5th, 2021

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”

‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We were created to be zealous for God. He is worthy of our praise, our communication, our acknowledgment, and all of our love.  The appropriate response by those touched by God’s amazing work and power is continual thankfulness and a passion to share His hope. Those who recognize God’s greatness and awesome power can’t help but worship and praise God with overwhelming reverence.

What in your life is competing for your attention, your devotion, and your love?  When listing the things in our lives that we speak most about, brag about, or take pride in, our Lord should be at the top. No one and nothing has the power of our God. Believers are to give all we are and all we have to Him.

Father God, I thank You that Your love for me stretches to the heavens and extends above the clouds. Remind me daily that everything and every person I place above You will fail me, but You never will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
