Humility Is the Right RX

Humility isn’t weakness; it’s clarity. It’s seeing ourselves honestly: gifted, yet dependent; capable, yet in need of grace. In a world that constantly tells us to promote ourselves, humility gently calls us to realign our hearts.

In Philippians 2:3, we’re reminded: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” This isn’t about thinking less of yourself; it’s about thinking of yourself less, making room to serve, listen, and love.

Jesus Christ modeled this perfectly. Though He had all authority, He chose service, washing His disciples’ feet and laying down His life. His example shows that true greatness is found in surrender, not status.

Humility is the right prescription for pride, conflict, and comparison. It softens our hearts, strengthens our relationships, and opens us to growth. When we choose humility, we invite peace into places where ego once ruled.

Lord, teach me to walk in humility. Help me to see others through Your eyes and to serve without needing recognition. Shape my heart to reflect Yours. Amen.
