The Truth Over the Lie
When the enemy keeps lying, it can feel overwhelming; like a constant whisper telling you you’re not enough, not loved, or that things will never change. But Scripture reminds us that not every voice deserves our agreement.
In John 8:44 it says the enemy is “the father of lies.” That means deception is his nature; but truth is God’s.
A powerful counter to those lies is found in John 8:32: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Just because a thought enters your mind doesn’t mean it’s true. The enemy often repeats lies hoping you’ll eventually believe them; but repetition doesn’t make something real. God’s truth does.
When you hear:
• “You’re not good enough” → God says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14
• “You’re alone” → God says He will never leave you. Hebrews 13:5
• “You’ve messed up too much” → God offers grace and new beginnings. Lamentations 3:22–23
“God, help me recognize the lies and replace them with Your truth. Give me strength to stand firm in what You say about me, even when the lies are loud. Amen.”
You don’t fight lies by trying harder; you fight them by choosing truth. And truth, spoken over your life daily, will always be louder in the end.
