How can we defeat the enemy of our lives?

Please read Joshua 10

Joshua 10 describes the war between the Israelites and a coalition of five Amorite kings. The kings had joined forces in an attempt to stop the Israelites from taking over the land of Canaan which God had promised to them.

When Joshua learned of the coalition’s plan to attack, he sought God’s guidance and direction. God instructed Joshua to march his army all night to surprise the enemy and then to use a strategy of ambush and deception to defeat them.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the battle was the miracle that occurred during the fight. As the Israelites pursued the enemy, Joshua prayed to God, asking Him to stop the sun and the moon to give them more time to achieve complete victory. Miraculously, God answered Joshua’s prayer in the affirmative, and the sun stood still for a full day.

The Israelites followed God’s instructions, and they caught the enemy by surprise. The battle was fierce, but with God’s help, the Israelites were able to defeat the coalition of kings. They captured their cities and destroyed their armies.

No matter the size of the armies that are against us, if we follow God’s guidance, we will find victory. Even if the odds seem impossible, even if our enemy seems to have an upper hand, we can operate in full confidence in the Lord!

Our enemy is strong, but our God is stronger (John 16:33; 1 John 4:4). We cannot defeat our enemy alone. And with God’s help, we have more than we could ever require! Stop letting the enemy limit your life, your calling, and your faith. Lean on God, operate in courageous faith, and defeat your enemy!

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
