Prayer: A Forever Habit
“The more we pray, the more we shall want to pray. The more we pray, the more we can pray. The more we pray, the more we shall pray. He who prays little will pray less, but he who prays much will pray more.” — Charles Spurgeon
Prayer isn’t meant to be a last resort or a seasonal practice; it’s a lifelong rhythm. When we pray, we’re not just asking God for help; we’re choosing to stay connected to Him. Just like breathing keeps the body alive, prayer keeps the heart spiritually awake.
Scripture reminds us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). That doesn’t mean constant words, but a constant posture: an awareness that God is present in every moment. In prayer, we find guidance when we’re confused, strength when we’re weak, and peace when life feels overwhelming.
Making prayer a forever habit shapes us over time. It softens our hearts, aligns our desires with God’s will, and teaches us trust, especially when answers don’t come quickly. The more we pray, the more we realize prayer doesn’t change God; it changes us.
Today, choose prayer not as a task to complete, but as a relationship to nurture. When prayer becomes a habit, faith becomes a way of life.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it ❤️👊
