Vital signs- Tuesday, December 12th, 2023

The shepherds were tending to their flocks when the night sky broke open and angels surrounded them in the glory of the Lord and singing praises to God. The angels had come to announce good news of great joy: that a Savior had been born in the city and that His salvation would be for all the people. The shepherds responded in the same way that the angels did. They worshipped. The shepherds rushed out of the fields and into town to find Mary and Joseph holding their Lord. They were not deterred by the smelly stable or the manger in which he lay. There was no mistake. Jesus was the Messiah born to save them from their sin. The wait was over. After their visit, “The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had seen and heard, which were just as they had been told.”

”For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If we will press into the word rather than the world then we will trust in the promise rather than be consumed by the noise.
