Strength in Stillness
“In silence the soul grows wise.” — Charles Spurgeon
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” - Exodus 14:14 NIV
We live in a world that celebrates noise, speed, and constant movement. Yet Scripture often calls us to be still.
Stillness is not weakness. It is trust. It is the posture of a heart that knows God is working even when we are not. When Israel stood trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army, God did not tell them to fight or flee. He told them to be still and watch Him move.
There are moments when your strength will not come from striving but from surrender. From quiet confidence in the God who parts seas, calms storms, and keeps every promise.
Let today be a day of stillness. Let your soul find rest in God alone. He is not in a hurry. He is not overwhelmed. And neither should you be.
Be still. He’s got this.
