Life Is but a Vapor
“Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” — James 4:14 (NKJV)
Life is brief—like a morning mist that fades as the sun rises. We make plans, chase goals, and assume we have endless time, yet Scripture reminds us that our days are limited and uncertain. This isn’t meant to create fear, but focus. When we remember how short life is, we begin to value what truly matters.
The brevity of life calls us to walk closely with God today, not someday. It urges us to love people well, forgive quickly, and invest in things that outlast this world. Every moment becomes meaningful when lived with eternity in mind.
Ask God to help you live intentionally—using your time, words, and choices for His purposes. Life may be a vapor, but a life surrendered to Him leaves an eternal impact.
Lord, teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Help us to live with purpose today, focusing on what has eternal value. Amen.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you ❤️👊
