God Is Working in the Hard Places

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

Tough circumstances can make it feel like God is distant, silent, or unconcerned. Yet this promise reminds us that all things—not just the easy ones—are being woven together by His hands. God doesn’t say everything is good, but He does say He is working through everything for good.

Sometimes the good is growth in patience. Sometimes it’s a deeper trust when answers don’t come quickly. Other times, God is protecting you, redirecting you, or shaping your character for what’s ahead. Even when you can’t see it, He is actively arranging details behind the scenes.

When life feels heavy, hold onto this truth: God hasn’t stepped away. He’s working in the middle of the difficulty, turning pain into purpose and delay into preparation. Your situation may be uncertain, but His promise is not.

Lord, when circumstances are hard, help me trust that You are still working. Give me peace while I wait, faith when I don’t understand, and confidence that You will bring good from what I’m facing. Lord, I invite You into my circumstance. In Jesus' name, Amen.
