The Posture of Our Heart
The posture of our heart when it comes to prayer and being in God’s Word matters. Staying in God’s Word and staying on our knees in prayer keep our hearts grounded when life feels confusing, stressful, or distracting. The Word gives us wisdom, strength, and direction, while prayer keeps us connected to the One who guides us through every season.
Jesus said: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5 (NKJV)
When we neglect Scripture and prayer, we often try to carry life in our own strength. But when we daily open the Bible and spend time in prayer, God renews our minds and gives peace that reaches deeper than circumstances.
The Psalms remind us: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
His Word keeps us from drifting. Prayer keeps us humble and dependent on Him. Kneeling before God reminds us that He is our source, our protector, and our help.
No matter how busy life becomes, make room each day for both Scripture and prayer. Even a few quiet moments with God can strengthen your faith and realign your heart.
Lord, help me stay faithful in Your Word and constant in prayer. Teach me to seek You first each day and trust You in every situation. Let Your truth guide my steps and keep my heart close to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
