“When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In Chapters 5, 6, and 7 of Revelation, we hear the loud sounds in heaven of praise from the four living creatures, the 24 elders, the great multitude, and the angels. But now there is silence: silence in heaven. Before God’s judgment falls on the world, there is silence in heaven for about half an hour.

Silence often seems awkward. But silence can be good. “The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silent before Him” (Habakkuk 2:20). There is “a time to keep silence” (Ecclesiastes 3:7).

Today turn off the noise in your life. Spend half an hour in silence—with God and His awesome Word.

Team Wade loves you and is praying for you ❤️👊
