"Then he said to me, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭10‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

When we kneel with God in prayer, we humble ourselves by our very posture. Pride is removed as we kneel. He is all knowing, when we are not. He is all powerful, when we are not.  We cannot see our lives as our own, but rather as a living sacrifice. Many view religion through a lens of good works and put faith in their own ability to be and do good. This walk with Christ is not contingent on our goodness, but on His goodness and grace demonstrated toward us. We can try to be good in our own strength, but we will fall short. If we are willing to humbly bring our whole lives before him, we have the opportunity to step into real life. We can set our mind to gain understanding and walk in humility before God, knowing that our prayers are heard and that God will respond.

“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬
