Do We Really Trust God’s Word About Life After Death?
Jesus said in John 11:25–26, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.”
That’s a bold promise. Not symbolic, but eternal.
It’s easy to say we believe in heaven, but the real question is: Do we live like it’s true? When fear of death creeps in, when we cling tightly to this world, or when grief feels overwhelming, it reveals where our trust is still growing.
God’s Word doesn’t give vague hope—it gives certainty. In 1 Thessalonians 4:14, it says, “Even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.” For believers, death isn’t the end—it’s a transition into His presence.
Trusting God about life after death changes how we live right now. It gives courage in uncertainty, peace in loss, and purpose in everyday life. We don’t have to fear what’s ahead, because Jesus already went before us and secured our future.
So ask yourself honestly: Am I trusting God’s Word about eternity… or just hoping it’s true?
Lord, help me trust You not only for today but for eternity. When fear or doubt rises, remind me of Your promises. Teach me to live with confidence that my life is secure in You—both now and forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
