The Power of the Cross

The cross is one of the most powerful symbols in the Christian faith. At first glance, it represents suffering, sacrifice, and even death. But at its heart, the cross tells a much deeper story; one of love, redemption, and hope.

When Jesus went to the cross, it wasn’t just an act of suffering; it was an act of willing love. He chose to bear pain and rejection so that humanity could be restored to a relationship with God. The cross shows us that love isn’t just a feeling; it’s sacrifice, forgiveness, and putting others before yourself.

It also reminds us that brokenness is not the end of the story. What looked like defeat became victory. What looked like darkness led to light. Because of the cross, mistakes don’t have to define us, and grace is always available.

The cross means you are deeply loved; more than you can fully understand. It invites you to live differently: to forgive, to show compassion, and to trust that even in hard moments, something greater is being worked out.

“God, thank You for the love shown on the cross. Help me to understand it more, to live with grace, and to reflect that love in how I treat others. Amen.”

Happy Resurrection week!
