Receiving the Holy Spirit
“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:38
The Holy Spirit is not earned by good works or religious performance. He is God’s gift to every believer who places their faith in Jesus Christ. The moment we repent and trust in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us, sealing us as God’s own and empowering us to live for Him.
Receiving the Holy Spirit is not the end of the journey—it is the beginning of a life of surrender. Each day, we are called to yield to His leading, listen to His voice through God’s Word, and rely on His strength rather than our own. The Spirit comforts us in trials, convicts us of sin, produces Christlike character, and equips us to boldly share the gospel.
Today, don’t try to live the Christian life in your own strength. Walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and let Him shape your heart into the likeness of Jesus.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Help me to surrender daily to His leading, obey His voice, and rely on His power in every area of my life. May my life bear fruit that brings glory to Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you❤️👊
