“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We often forget that Jesus operated in enemy occupied territory. We would rather focus on the stories they give us a back drop of charm and a middle eastern travel brochure.

His story started with genocide - Herods attempt to kill Jesus by ordering the execution of all young boys around Bethlehem.

Jesus was no doubt hunted, but He was also a hunter.

Jesus with great intention came in to this evil world to battle sin . He constantly walks right up to the demon possessed, the sick and diseased, and intentionally hunts out that which tries lay hold of God‘s prized creation.

Remember, it is with great intention that Jesus is after your heart.

Have you seen Jesus as a great warrior or only as a gentle Shepherd?

Make no mistake - he is both!

And that’s our calling as well- To be Christlike.
