Choosing Sweetness Over Criticism
“Every time you give way to skepticism and critical questioning, you lose a sip of sweetness.” — Charles Spurgeon
“The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.” Proverbs 16:23 NKJV
Understanding where criticism comes from can help us respond positively. It’s easy to get upset when we feel attacked, yet some criticisms may stem from others’ insecurities or misunderstandings. We must remember that the Bible encourages us to be patient and kind in our responses. It’s not about who is right or wrong; rather, it’s about maintaining our character and staying focused on God’s purpose in our lives. We can use criticism as an opportunity to deepen our faith and reflect on our actions. Let’s seek wisdom in understanding these moments.
We lose our joy and happiness when we take skepticism and criticism personally. Not taking things personally, but taking them seriously, could move us to be great listeners, which leads us to be a source of help rather than paralyzed by the noise. Big powerful trains don’t stop for barking dogs!
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it! ❤️👊
