Sharing the Greatest Gift
“A person should not be able to live with you a week without knowing the gospel.” — Charles Spurgeon
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” - Romans 1:16 NKJV
The gospel, the good news, is the greatest gift ever offered to mankind. Like Spurgeon, I totally agree that to possess such a gift and not share it is the greatest form of selfishness ever. I understand the human aspect of apprehension or fear that comes with that because of our fear of rejection. But let us not forget that the Spirit of God empowers us with not only holy boldness but also with the words to share that, if received by the ones we share it with, will rescue them from an eternity separated from a holy God.
As for me, I would rather be cursed and rejected than to know that someone died without Jesus when I had the opportunity to share with them the greatest gift of all. May we never again allow fear to stop us. It’s a gift not just for us but for all mankind.
We are the hands and the feet and the ambassadors of Christ. May we be found faithful.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you.
