God Don’t Make Junk 

God chose you.

And me.

Wait what? He chose me? He summoned me by name? I am His?

Growing up I often wondered why I was born.

Growing up, being a rebel, brought about so much uncertainty, which often left me with this icky, invisible feeling; a feeling of never being good enough.

So the fact that the God of the universe created me, formed me, called me by name, AND I am His… was something that took me a minute to wrap my mind-and later, my heart-around.

The day I found Jesus it was like a light ignited in my heart and somehow I understood why I was born. I wish I could describe the feeling–but it’s the sort of thing you can only experience when you have an encounter with the Creator. That moment changed my life forever… and it can change yours too.

What I learned?

God the Father… the Creator… made you and me in His image.

Pause. Take a deep breath. Now exhale.

Say to yourself, “God, You don’t make junk, You made me perfect in Your sight.”

Take another breath.

“Lord today, I’m going to let you love me.”

“But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!”

PRAY with me-

Lord, Thank you for this truth. I want to have an encounter with Your perfect love. Would You help me to believe that Your heart for me has always been a sense of love and belonging? Even though its sometimes hard for me to understand, help me to remember Your love.  You have called me by name–and I want to make You proud. I love You and thank You for choosing me but, most of all thank You for calling me Yours. I love You, Lord. Amen.
