When the Noise Drowns the Whisper
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Many people don’t pray today: not always because they don’t believe, but because they are distracted, disappointed, or distant. Some are distracted by the noise of life. Phones buzz. Schedules fill. Minds race. Prayer requires stillness, and stillness feels uncomfortable in a loud world. Some are disappointed. They prayed once and didn’t see the answer they hoped for. Pain, loss, or silence made them wonder if anyone was listening. Some feel distant. Culture teaches self-reliance: “I can handle it myself.” But prayer begins with humility: admitting we need God.
The masses may not pray because prayer reminds us we are not in control. Yet that is exactly where peace begins. Prayer is not about perfect words. It’s about an open heart. God is not waiting for eloquence; He is waiting for willingness.
Today, choose stillness over noise. Choose surrender over self-sufficiency. Choose one honest sentence whispered to heaven.
Even a quiet “Lord, help me” is enough.
Team Wade is crazy about you!! 👊❤️
