Vital signs- Friday,June 4th, 2021

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Nothing distinguishes the children of God so clearly and strongly as prayer. It is the most infallible mark and test of being a Christian. But even the Christian has to cultivate continual prayer. You must be habitual, but it must be much more than just a habit.

It is a duty, one that rises far above the ordinary implications of the term. It is the expression of a relationship with God, a yearning for divine communion.

It is the flow of the soul toward its original fountain. It is a statement of the souls origin, the claiming of Sonship that links man to the eternal.

Almighty God, I want to be distinguished as your child. My soul yearns to come into your presence every day.

Amen and Amen!
