A Change Worth Noticing

“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” - Matthew 6:13 NKJV

When the disciples were learning to pray this prayer, they were looking for their kingdom to be established at that moment. They wanted the kingdom to come because Jesus had said that with the kingdom would come power. The disciples thought he was going to give them earthly and political power at that time, but he was going to give them kingdom power because the power of the kingdom is the Holy Spirit.

Notice what he says in Acts chapter 1:8: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.” The emphasis is on becoming something not doing something. You shall be my witness.

One of the ways we know the Holy Spirit is taking over in us is that we are being Christians when nobody is telling us to be Christians. We are representing Jesus when nobody is telling us to represent Jesus. We are taking a stand for Christ when nobody is telling us because we have become his witness through the transformation and power of the Holy Spirit.

If these things are not taking place, our problem is that the Holy Spirit does not have us yet. When the Holy Spirit gets us a transformation takes place. That is a change that is worth noticing. That is a change that will enable our prayer life to go to the next level.

Let us be about what we have been called to be.

Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there is nothing you can do about it ❤️
