Steady in the Storm
“God is too good to be unkind, and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.” — Charles Spurgeon
“He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor.” - Psalm 107:29-30
Life does not always give us a warning before the winds pick up. One moment things are calm, and the next we are caught in the middle of a storm we didn’t expect. In those moments it’s easy to question where God is or why things feel so uncertain.
But storms have a way of revealing what we’re anchored to. If our trust is in circumstances, people, or our own ability to control outcomes, we’ll feel tossed and shaken.
However, when our trust is anchored in the heart of God, even the fiercest winds cannot uproot our peace. He may not always calm the storm right away, but He will always calm His child.
The harbor is not far. Hold steady. Keep trusting. He is faithful.
