Vital signs- Wednesday, April 5th, 2023

Everyday life is full of pressure, but in a time of crisis everything is amplified. The best way to release the pressure is though prayer. Prayer is is a pressure release valve. We may feel isolated, experiencing radical change, navigating family or relational dynamics and experiencing loss of various kinds. There is a lot of pressure to process and we can’t do it on our own. When we talk to God, we can talk honestly about the pain and constraints we are feeling. We can ask him for help. We may have to shelter in place, but the Holy Spirit does not. He is our First Responder. He moves freely without restriction. He is right here with us, every step of the way.

1. What does prayer look like for you right now?

2. Who is someone that you can enlist to pray with you daily or weekly?

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬
