“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” ‭‭

Luke‬ ‭2:13-14‬ ‭KJV

Angels in Awe

Can you imagine what the shepherds experienced when an army of “heavenly hosts” appeared that Christmas night? They were simply tending their sheep in a field when, suddenly, a sky full of angels appeared. While they had likely heard of angels, actually seeing one was probably both terrifying and awe-inspiring. Now imagine hundreds of angels shouting praises together, creating a deafening yet glorious sound. What an incredible moment!

As remarkable as the angels were, they focused entirely on praising God for who He is and what He would bring to earth through Jesus. Angels, so amazing in human eyes, were themselves amazed by the sight of God. This must have been profoundly convincing to the shepherds, showing them that God is truly worthy of their highest worship and praise.‬‬
