STOPPING AT THE CROSSROADS

The prophet Jeremiah and the apostle Paul, though centuries apart, shared similar truths in different ways. Paul tells us what to avoid, and Jeremiah tells us what to do. Jeremiah says the answer is found in the old, godly way, while Paul warns against following empty philosophies or nonsensical advice. Though these ideas might sound wise, they are foolish to follow. Many will try to manipulate us by telling us what we want to hear or by saying what makes them look good, but God's way will always be the wisest path.
