Rest at His Feet

“Sitting silently at the feet of Jesus is of more worth than all the clatter of Martha's dishes.” - Charles Spurgeon

“The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. And he said to them, Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while. For many were coming and going and they had no leisure even to eat.” - Mark 6:30 to 32

This text goes beyond religious obligation. Instead, it emphasizes the joy and fulfillment that come from spending time with the Lord. This is a time to discover how we can be inspired to create space for God in our lives and experience the peace and purpose that come with a closer relationship. I am often troubled that I have to create time to be with God because my hurried schedule is so packed with everything but time with the Father. Shouldn’t it be the other way around.

We are not human doings. We are human beings created to be with our Creator.
