The Authority of God’s Word
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
God’s Word is not just helpful advice—it is His absolute truth and final authority for our lives. In a world full of changing opinions and uncertainty, Scripture remains steady, trustworthy, and powerful. When God speaks, He reveals His heart, His will, and His wisdom for us.
The Bible has authority because it comes from God Himself: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…” — 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV). This means we can trust it completely. It corrects us, guides us, strengthens us, and equips us to live faithfully.
Jesus Himself honored the authority of Scripture, declaring, “Your word is truth” — John 17:17 (NKJV). When we submit to God’s Word, we are submitting to God. His Word has the power to transform our minds, anchor our faith, and direct our steps.
Today, choose to stand on the authority of God’s Word—not feelings, culture, or circumstances. Let His truth shape your thoughts and decisions.
Lord, help me to trust and obey Your Word as the highest authority in my life. Give me a heart that honors Your truth and the wisdom to walk in it daily. Let Your Word guide every step I take. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
