When Willpower Is Not Enough
There are moments in life when we try harder, push further, and promise ourselves we’ll do better next time. We lean on discipline. We depend on determination. We exhaust our willpower. And still, we fall short.
The truth is, willpower was never meant to carry the full weight of our lives. It’s a tool, but it’s not the source. Our strength runs out. Our motivation fades. Our resolve weakens. But God’s strength does not.
Scripture reminds us: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
When willpower is not enough: Grace is. Prayer is. Surrender is.
Sometimes God allows us to reach the end of our own strength so we will discover His. Not to shame us, but to show us that we were never meant to do this alone.
If you feel tired from trying so hard, take heart. You don’t need more willpower. You need more reliance. Lay down the pressure to perform and pick up the peace of trusting Him.
Prayer:
Lord, when my strength fails and my willpower runs dry, remind me that You are my source. Teach me to rely on Your grace instead of my own effort. Be strong in me where I am weak. Amen.
Team Wade is praying for you and loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it ❤️👊
